White Tara

White Tara is believed to be born from compassionate tear of Avalokiteshavara when he was looking down the world of suffering. The suffering let his tear fall down and from left a white peaceful Tara was born and from right fierce green.

White Tara is close to its sentient beings like a mother to his children. She is represented as mature woman, full- breasted and wise. White Tara has 7 eyes symbolizing her compassionate vigilance to see all suffering of the world. She is seated in meditative diamond lotus position with both leg folded her feet facing skyward. Her left hand is in protective mudra and her right is in wish granting mudra. He holds Utpala lotus with 3 blossoms- 1 blossom is represented as seed, 2 as ready to bloom and 3rd final bloom.
