Sukhasiddhi is a lady-master of meditation and an Indian Buddhist Vajrayana teacher known as a Lama. She was born into a large, poor family in West Kashmir. She has three daughters and three sons. When she gave a hobo the main food in the house and was ousted from home. Niguma's accomplishments were comparable to Sukhasiddhi's. Despite the fact that they were both born in Kashmir, there is no evidence that they ever met. Even though they are only mentioned as teachers of the same disciple, Kyungpo Naljor, the Nyingma tradition says that they are related from previous lives. According to Jamgön Kongtrul's The History of the Sources of the Profound Treasures and the Treasure Revealers, Niguma was once Mandarava, the most important Indian disciple of Guru Rinpoché. It is common knowledge that Sukhasiddhi is related to Yeshé Tsogyal, the most important Tibetan disciple of Guru Rinpoché, and that she reincarnated as Machik Labdrön.
