This hand-painted Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig) Thangka depicts the Bodhisattva of Compassion, created using natural mineral pigments, including crushed lapis stone for vibrant blues. The central mandala represents the cosmos and the path to spiritual awakening, blending traditional Tibetan symbolism with Himalayan artistry.
Avalokiteshvara is shown in white at the heart of the mandala, radiating compassion with multiple arms. Surrounding him are five celestial bodhisattvas framed in clouds, while the lower section depicts a serene Himalayan landscape with mountains, rivers, and offerings, connecting the earthly and spiritual realms.
