Description
Yogini, also identified as Vajra Yogini or Vajrayogini, is a revered yogini deity in Tibetan Buddhism. Depicted as a grand representation of enlightened knowledge, this Bajra Yogini Thangka is associated with the Chakrasamvara Tantra. Her representation is one-faced and three-eyed with a crimson body, wearing a crown adorned with skulls. Bajra Yogini holds a vajra in the right hand and a skull-cup full of blood or elixir in the left. She is adorned with multiple bone ornaments, including a garland with fifty fresh heads and a tiger or leopard skin around the waist.
Yogini's Thangka paintings are referred to in rituals, meditations, and visions related to her practice. They assist practitioners in connecting with Bajra Yogini's powerful energy and embracing her enlightened features by serving as devotional items and visual aids.
