Description

White Tara is portrayed in the Thangka in a seated position with crossed legs, displaying seven eyes - two conventional eyes, plus a third eye situated on her forehead, and one on the palms and feet. This representation of seven eyes is meant to showcase her vision and her capacity to perceive and respond to the pain of all creatures in all directions. White Tara is often depicted with a closed lotus flower in her left hand, signifying innocence, and with her right hand in the gesture of varada mudra, demonstrating her dedication to provide aid and favors to those in need.
