Tara Thangka Collection

Tara is a female Buddha and one of the most prominent female deities in Nepalese and Tibetan Buddhism. The name Tara means the “one who saves” and as the goddess of compassion, her job is to alleviate people from suffering. Like many Buddhist deities, she can have many emanations or forms. The most common are the White Tara & Green Tara.

Green Tara

Green Tara is a female Buddha and arguably the most popular female in the Buddhist pantheon. She is considered to be a protector who comes to our aid to relieve us of our physical, emotional and spiritual suffering.

White Tara

White Tara is the female Bodhisattva of compassionate activity, the supreme mother and collective manifestation of the enlightened activity of all the Buddhas. She is said to see all suffering and respond to requests for help. Her yogic method promotes health and extending one's lifespan.
