Stories from the Sutras describe how Jambhala heroically protected the Buddha from menacing forces - a feat that the Buddha then rewarded by appointing Jambhala a Dharma Protector to benefit all sentient beings. By invoking his name and mantra, one can experience good fortune, longer life, greater intelligence, and both material and spiritual prosperity.
