Buddha Mandala Thangka's mandala design is extremely symmetrical, with circles and squares spreading outward from the center. The mandala's layers each stand for different elements of Buddhist mythology and spiritual worlds. The inner layers symbolize various kingdoms, Bodhisattvas, or other symbolic objects, while the uppermost layer show protecting deities.
