Description
Kuber Mandala Thangka is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist artwork depicting deity Kuber and their accompanying mandala. Thangkas are intricate paintings on fabric that facilitate meditation and spiritual practice.
Kuber, also known as Vaisnavara or Jambhala, is a deity of riches in Tibetan Buddhism. He is widely revered as the ruler of wealth and the protector of the North. Kuber is portrayed as a strong figure with a yellow or golden complexion, holding a mongoose in his left hand and a victorious banner or a jewel-emitting mongoose in his right hand. The mongoose alludes to attracting abundance and prosperity, while the victory flag stands as a sign of overcoming hindrances and negativity.
The Kuber Mandala Thangka features Kuber at its core, surrounded by a complex mandala. This mandala is a sacred geometric pattern which embodies the celestial palace of Kuber, signifying wealth, abundance, and spiritual prosperity. It is composed of delicate shapes, circles, squares, and other geometric figures embellished with bright hues and precise images.
