Manjushri is bodhisattva in Tibetan Buddhism, known as the embodiment of wisdom and the personification of transcendent wisdom. A "Manjushri thangka" is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist painting that features Manjushri as the central figure.
In a Manjushri thangka, Manjushri is depicted as a youthful and radiant figure, often shown seated on a lotus throne or in a meditative posture. He holds a flaming sword in his right hand, symbolizing his ability to cut through ignorance and delusion. With his left hand, he holds the stem of a lotus flower that blossoms with the Prajnaparamita sutra, representing the perfection of wisdom. Manjushri is depicted with a calm and peaceful expression, reflecting the clarity and serenity of enlightened wisdom.
